Your Privacy Matters
This policy explains how ATS Resume Craft collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our service.
1. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account & Profile Data
- Name, email address, password (hashed)
- Profile photo (if provided via Google OAuth)
- Resume content: work history, education, skills, projects, languages
Usage & Device Data
- IP address, browser type, operating system
- Pages visited, features used, time spent
- ATS scan queries and job descriptions submitted
Payment Data
- Payment transactions are processed by Razorpay. We do not store card numbers or banking credentials.
- We retain order IDs, subscription status, and plan tier for account management.
Data from Third Parties
- If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google's OAuth service.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use collected data to:
- Create and manage your account
- Generate, store, and export your resumes
- Run ATS scoring and provide AI-powered suggestions
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
- Improve our models and product features using anonymized usage data
- Detect fraud, abuse, and security threats
We do not use your resume content for advertising or sell it to third parties.
5. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.
- Anonymized usage analytics may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.
- Payment records are retained for 7 years to comply with financial regulations.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard safeguards:
- All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2+
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (never stored in plain text)
- Database access is restricted to authenticated server-side processes
- Rate limiting protects against brute-force and abuse
- Regular dependency audits and security patches

7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access
Request a copy of data we hold about you
Correction
Fix inaccurate or incomplete data
Deletion
Request erasure of your personal data
Portability
Receive your data in a machine-readable format
Objection
Object to processing based on legitimate interests
Opt-out
Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time

8. Minors
Users under the age of 18 may use ATS Resume Craft only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, in accordance with Section 9 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you believe a minor is using the Service without parental consent, contact us immediately and we will delete the account and associated data.
9. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Send an email notification to registered users
- Show an in-app banner for significant changes
Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, we have appointed the following Grievance Officer:
