Optionally paste the job listing you're targeting. This unlocks keyword gap analysis plus section-by-section advice on your Summary, Experience, Skills, Education and Projects.

03

Get your ATS score

20+ checks run instantly across four categories: content quality, section structure, ATS compatibility, and job tailoring. Each check explains what's wrong and how to fix it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is an ATS and why does it matter?

An Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is software that companies use to filter resumes before a human ever sees them. 98.4% of Fortune 500 companies, and roughly 70% of large companies overall, use one (Jobscan, 2023 ATS Usage Report). If your resume isn't ATS-friendly, it can get filtered out before anyone reads it — even if you're perfectly qualified.

Is this really free?

Yes. You get 1 free ATS scans per week. The scan itself runs entirely in your browser — without a job description your resume never leaves your device. If you add a job description, your resume text and the listing are sent to our AI for keyword and section advice, and that is included in the free tier too.

What file formats are supported?

PDF and DOCX. You can also paste your resume text directly if you prefer. We extract text client-side using pdf.js and mammoth.js — no server upload needed.

What does the ATS score measure?

Your score is based on 20+ checks across four categories: Content Quality (bullet points, action verbs, quantified achievements), Section Structure (required sections like experience, education, skills), ATS Compatibility (formatting issues, file type, parseable layout), and Job Tailoring (keyword match rate against the job description).

Is my resume data safe?

The ATS scan runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript — your resume text never touches our servers. AI suggestions do send your resume to our servers over HTTPS, but we don't store it. We never share your data with third parties.

How is this different from other ATS checkers?

Most ATS checkers give you a score and generic advice. We give you a detailed breakdown of every check, show you exactly which keywords are missing, and use AI to generate specific rewrites you can copy directly into your resume. Plus, it's browser-based — your data stays private.

What score should I aim for?

Aim for 80+ to pass most ATS filters reliably. Scores above 90 are excellent. Below 60 means significant issues that will likely get your resume auto-rejected. The most impactful fix is usually adding missing keywords from the job description.

Can I fix my resume here too?

Yes — after scanning, click "Go to Dashboard" to open our AI resume builder. It uses the same scoring engine live as you edit, so you can watch your score climb in real time as you make changes.
